While the US vs. Germany game in the World Cup may arguably be a bigger deal today in sports, these kids got a taste of what it's like to be in a triathlon.

Cathy Breternitz puts on protective clothing before moving a shipment of bees into a hive at her home in Midland on April 11. Breternitz's bees, like many hives in the area, did not survive the winter due to the excessively cold temperatures. She has been keeping bees since 2008 for pollination and for the honey they produce.

Softball

I have to be honest.  I'd rather shoot softball than baseball.  While I enjoy watching the Tigers once they reach the playoffs, there is no doubt that baseball is a slower sport.  Softball is more batter friendly which leads to more plays at home, and just more plays in general.
